About

Born out the the frustration of keeping my own kids safe, Safe Sprouts has a multi-layer platform to make parent’s lives easier and kids safer.

At any point, you can just send us an email at contact@mysafesprouts.com If you would like to get started online, there is a quick registration (just an email and password) and a configuration document to help us understand your needs. This document doesn’t need to be completed or have every answer filled in because we will set up a time to meet with you to go over the options to make sure we have the details right and answer any questions you have.

When we meet, will discuss equipment needed (if any), best practices, how the multi-layer approach works, and where parents participate.

Much of the equipment we sell have very long lead times in the market. So that we can provide short lead times initially and throughout the partnership, we are distributors of most of the equipment we sell. This allows us to have inventory readily accessible and to keep our prices low.

Phones: Two different phones we recommend: Punkt & Light Phone. Both are great…depends on your wants.

Music: It seems music is part of how a generation defines themselves. Because the phones we provide are not “smart phones” we also recommend a music device: either an MP3 player (more secure and less expensive) or a streamer (easier to manage and more flexible). We have tested many different MP3 players and streamers. We keep coming back to Sony primarily because of their reliability. Some of the inexpensive streamers we purchased from Amazon only lasted weeks with repairs that felt like “mission impossible”. So, yes, there are less expensive devices out there. At Safe Sprouts, we have prioritized reliability because buying four cheap devices over a year is more expensive and more frustrating that just buying one.

iPads: We manage iPads. iPads are now super powerful and some can even support dual monitors. Why iPads? That is longer story but the choice is an important one. The below diagram illustrates the multiple layers of security we provide on an iPads. This is not “overkill” this is the level of protection required to separate kids and bad actors.
